You can even network the Xbox to play files from any computer connected to your home network (wired or wireless).
Xtreme+ Codec Pack: Supports playback of just about every Audio/Video file known, except those outside the range of the processing power of the Xbox. Essentially, if it's an Audio/Video file, it can play it. DVD playback kit no longer required and region free.
HIGH DEFINITION: 
Xbox was smartly designed for the future, and although it's full potential was never fully utilized, included capabilities to display up to 1080i. Resolutions available are 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i. HD resolutions require an HD Television + HD Video Cable purchased separately (click breakout box photo above to purchase). Includes optical out. HDMI and DVI not available on Xbox.
